Develop Jointly gives people the tools to meet, communicate and form groups. The users themselves decide whether they want to pursue a project and which professionals they want to work with.
Nine steps from your first login to verified development experience.
Develop Jointly is designed around a simple process. You begin by creating your profile and meeting other people. From there you can form a group, discuss what you want to achieve, optionally connect with a builder and, if you use a Develop Jointly partner builder, have your completed development verified and showcased to other app users.
Create Your Account
Getting started is simple. Create your Develop Jointly account by signing in with Apple or Google, or by signing up manually.
You will then provide some general information about yourself, including where you are located and why you are using the app. This helps other users understand who you are and what you are interested in achieving.
Search and Start Conversations
Use the search feature to find other members in your area who are interested in property, construction and development.
Start conversations, learn about what other people are hoping to achieve and begin building relationships with people whose goals may be compatible with your own.
Create a Group or Join One
When you meet people you may want to work with, you can create your own group and invite suitable members to join.
You can also request to join an existing group created by another user.
Groups are the main collaboration space inside Develop Jointly. They allow members to communicate with one another and explore whether they are suitable to work together on a possible development.
Important conversations should happen before anyone decides to move forward.
Where the group would like to develop.
Approximate budgets and borrowing capacity.
The type and scale of project being considered.
Income stability and ability to service financial commitments.
Experience, knowledge, expectations and commitment.
Decide Whether the Group Is Ready
Once you are part of a group, use the group messaging features to openly discuss what type of project the members are interested in pursuing.
Important topics may include preferred locations, approximate project budgets, borrowing capacity, how much each person may be comfortable contributing, expected timeframes and the type of development the group wants to explore.
Group members should also consider whether everyone has sufficient financial stability, understanding, experience and commitment for the type of project being discussed.
This stage is your opportunity to decide whether the group is genuinely ready and whether the people involved are suitable to work together before progressing any further.
Refer the Group to a Builder
When the group believes it is ready to take the next step, a group member can open the group page and select the red “Refer to Builder” button.
The referring user is shown a disclosure explaining what contact information will be sent and must agree before the referral is generated. The referral is then sent to the builder selected for the relevant country and state or region.
Using the referral feature is optional. The group is free to choose its own builder. However, to protect the reliability of the developments showcased to other users, Develop Jointly must be able to confirm directly with the builder that the named group actually completed the project. We have established relationships with our provided builders, allowing us to seek that confirmation. We do not have the same verification relationship with independently chosen builders, so projects completed with them cannot be verified or publicly showcased on the app.
Speak With the Builder
After the referral is received, the builder can contact the nominated group representative to discuss the proposed development and better understand what the group is trying to achieve.
The builder can discuss the proposed project, construction options, likely requirements, indicative costs and the steps that may be involved in progressing toward a build.
The builder can then work directly with the group throughout the construction process if the group independently decides to proceed with that builder.
Develop Jointly does not require users to engage the referred builder. The group remains responsible for deciding whether the builder, proposed contract, pricing and project are suitable for them.
Complete the Development
If the group decides to proceed, the members can work with their chosen builder and relevant professionals to complete the development.
The project itself remains the responsibility of the group, builder and any independent professionals involved. Develop Jointly is the platform that helped the users meet and collaborate. The group may use its own builder. However, showcasing a completed development to other users requires independent confirmation that the group actually carried out that project. Develop Jointly can seek that confirmation through its existing relationships with the builders it provides. Without a relationship with an outside builder, we cannot confirm the group's involvement through our verification process. For that reason, developments completed with a group's own builder are not eligible for verification or public display.
Create the Development in the App
When the project has been completed, a member of the group can use the “Create Development” feature to add the completed development to the app.
For developments built by a Develop Jointly partner builder, the group can provide the project's location, description, photographs and participating members. The development must then be verified before it can be displayed on the relevant user profiles for other app users to see. Verification is necessary so other members can trust that the showcased development was actually completed by the group named on the profiles. This confirmation can be sought from Develop Jointly's partner builders, with whom we have established relationships, but not from independently selected builders with whom no such relationship exists.
Submit the Development for Verification
After the development information has been created, a group member can select the “Get Verified” option.
Before a completed development can be showcased to other app users, Develop Jointly must verify that the development was genuinely completed by the group claiming it. This helps protect the credibility of the profiles and gives other members greater confidence in the experience being displayed. We can perform this check only for projects completed by builders provided by Develop Jointly, because we have an established relationship with those builders and can contact them directly to confirm the project and the group's involvement. We do not have that verification relationship with other builders selected independently by groups. Without it, Develop Jointly cannot reliably confirm that the claimed group completed the development, so such projects cannot be verified or showcased to other users on the platform.
If the partner builder confirms the development and the information is satisfactorily verified, Develop Jointly can approve it for display on the relevant members' profiles, visible to other app users. This showcases the group's experience and can help members attract new people to their groups or improve their chances of being invited to join other groups.
Verified experience becomes part of your profile.
Once a development completed by a Develop Jointly partner builder has been verified, it can be showcased on participating members' profiles for other users to see. This visible track record can help you stand out when seeking to join another group or attracting new members to your own group. You are always free to use your own builder. However, to keep displayed achievements credible, Develop Jointly must verify the group's actual involvement with the builder. Our relationships with our provided builders make this possible; we cannot perform the same check with independent builders with whom we have no relationship. Consequently, those projects cannot be verified or showcased publicly on the platform.

Every user should conduct their own due diligence and obtain independent professional advice where appropriate before committing to any project.
