Your account. Your information. Your choice.
Develop Jointly gives users control over the information they provide. You can update your information, deactivate your account or permanently delete your account directly from inside the app.
Manage everything directly from the app.
You do not need to contact Develop Jointly simply to deactivate or permanently delete your account. Both options are available directly inside the app.
Understand what we hold, why we hold it and how you control it.
Most information held by Develop Jointly is information that users choose to provide while using the app. This page explains the information that may be associated with your account and the options available if you want to change, deactivate or permanently remove your account.
Information We May Hold About You
Most information associated with a Develop Jointly account is information that the user chooses to enter, upload, create or send while using the app.
Depending on how you use Develop Jointly, our systems may hold information such as:
We use account information to provide the features you choose to use.
Information associated with your account allows Develop Jointly to create and maintain your account, display your profile and help other users understand who you are and where you are located.
It is also used to provide private and group messaging, operate groups, display development information, deliver notifications, provide user-requested builder referral functionality and maintain the normal operation and security of the app.
We aim to collect and retain only information reasonably required to provide Develop Jointly and its features.
You Can Change Your Information
Develop Jointly gives users control over the information they provide.
Profile information and other editable information can be changed at any time using the account and profile features provided directly inside the app.
This means that if information you have provided changes, or you simply want to update the way your profile appears to other users, you can make those changes yourself without having to contact Develop Jointly.
Some information connected with a group or development may be subject to the membership and ownership rules of that shared group or development.
Two Account Management Options
Develop Jointly provides two separate options if you no longer want your account to remain active: deactivation or permanent deletion.
Both options are available directly inside the app, so you do not need to contact Develop Jointly separately to manage your account.
Deactivate Your Account
Deactivation is designed for users who want to stop using Develop Jointly without permanently deleting their account.
When your account is deactivated, your profile is treated as inactive. Other users cannot see your profile in the app's search feed and cannot interact with you while the account remains inactive.
Your account information is retained so that you can return later.
You can reactivate the account by logging back in.
Permanently Delete Your Account
If you choose permanent deletion, Develop Jointly removes the account information associated with your account from our active systems.
Permanent deletion is different from deactivation. The account is not simply hidden or placed into an inactive state.
Once the deletion process has been completed, that deleted account information cannot be recovered and the deleted account cannot simply be reactivated by logging back in.
Permanent Means Permanent
If you only want to stop using Develop Jointly temporarily, consider deactivating your account instead.
If you choose permanent deletion, the account information removed as part of the deletion process cannot later be restored simply by signing back into the deleted account.
You can also request account deletion by email.
If you cannot access the Develop Jointly app or would prefer to request deletion from outside the app, you can send us an account deletion request by email.
The deletion request must be sent from the same email address that you use for your Develop Jointly account.
This allows us to associate the request with the correct Develop Jointly account before processing the deletion request.
Limited Information May Need to Be Retained
In some circumstances, Develop Jointly may need to retain limited information for a legitimate reason such as security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement of our rights or legal and regulatory obligations.
Where this is required, we aim to retain only the information reasonably necessary for that purpose and only for as long as required.
Information We Do Not Hold
Develop Jointly does not store personal financial information such as bank account numbers, credit card numbers, debit card numbers, tax information or similar personal financial records.
We also do not hold personal identification documents, copies of identification documents or information that directly references identification documents.
Protecting Your Information
Develop Jointly takes user privacy seriously. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect user information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. We aim to limit information to what is reasonably required for the app to operate.
Need help deleting your account?
